Terms and Conditions of Training

 

The terms and conditions below set out the agreement between myself and the client.

Agreement with the client

1) Your Training booking.
You are booking me to provide you with the training course/s specified, on the dates specified on the
booking form.

Bookings are made for a full day (usually 5 - 6 hrs), unless other arrangements have been agreed in
writing. Training times will be confirmed on the booking form or by email. Bookings are charged at a
daily rate or course rate for block bookings.

You are responsible for ensuring that all necessary equipment and software is available and fully
functional at your venue in time for the training.

Please ensure you have booked the correct course, and that I have accurate information on the
level of training you or your group need. Please give details of any specific training requirements.

No responsibility will be accepted for not being unable to provide the exact training you require if you
have not provided correct and full information regarding your training requirements.

2) Payment of training fees by client
The prices for training stated on the web site and prices normally quoted in correspondence, are for
early payment. For these early payment rate to apply, payment must be made as stated below. This
applies to all bookings unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing at the time of booking.

2a) All payments for one or two days of training must be received at least 7 days in advance of training
start date.

2b) Bookings of 3 or more days within any 1 month period will require full payment 14 days in advance
of training start date (or payment when confirming the booking if the booking is made less than 14 days
before training start date).

2c) If payment is made later than stated in section 2a or 2b (whichever applies to that booking) then a
higher rate for the training shall apply:

  • For bookings of up to £1000 in value, the amount due will increase by + £50
  • For bookings of £1001and above in value, the amount due will increase by + £75

Where payment is not made as specified in sections 2a and 2b, then the payment must be made in full
at the higher rate as specified in 2c and paid in full no later than 14 days after the previous date when
payment was due.

This applies to all bookings unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing at the time of
booking. Training fees and the dates by which payment should be made will be stated on your booking
form as well as the invoice and/or confirmation e-mail.

2d) Travel expenses for on-site training will be paid by the client on top of the course fees, as well as
any necessary accommodation expenses.

2e) Any discounts given will only apply if payment is received when due - as specified on the booking
form and invoice. Any discounts will no longer apply if the payment is received later than the specified
date, and the full amount without any discount will then become payable immediately.


3) Late payment
3a) Late Payment Charges:
Overdue payments will incur a late payment charge, starting with an initial charge of £20 added 28 days
after payment due date. A further £20 will be added each calendar month thereafter until payment is
received. Should payment not be received in full within 8 weeks after payment due date, then legal action
will be taken to recover the total amount owed as well as all extra charges and legal costs.

4) Cancellation of a training booking
4a) i) Cancellation by client:
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing a minimum of 14 days before the start date of training, please also confirm by telephone. There will be no cancellation charge if 14 days or more notice is given.

4a) ii) Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges apply to all training bookings cancelled 20 days or less before training start date.

  • Cancellation received 7 - 14 days before the start of training:
    the client will pay 25% of the total value of training.
  • Cancellation received 4 - 7 days before the start of training:
    the client will pay 50% of the total value of the training.
  • Cancellation received 3 days or less before the start of training:
    the client will pay 100% of the total value of the training.

It may sometimes be possible in some instances to change a date by one or two days (depending on
date availability) with no penalty.


4a) iii) When canceling a booking for on-site training the client will pay for any expenses, such as for
train tickets or accommodation already purchased.

4a) iv) If I am unable to provide you with training due to the necessary software or equipment not being available or not being fully functional, this will be treated as a cancellation and full payment for that day
will be due.

4b i) Cancellation by Vision

4b) ii) I reserve the right, in every case, to reschedule or to cancel courses or part of a course as
necessary. You will usually be given a minimum of 14 days notice with the exception of certain
unforeseen circumstances (see below ). If it does become necessary to cancel, you will be entitled
to take that course at a later date or receive a full refund of any course fees paid for each day cancelled.

4b) iii) Cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances
We reserve the right, in every case, to cancel or reschedule the course or part of a course at short notice
due to unforeseen circumstances. This may include power failure, train cancellation or strike, exceptional weather conditions, illness. You will have the option to reschedule the course at a later date, or have a full refund of any course fees paid for each day cancelled.

4b) iv) Responsibility will not accepted for any consequential loss arising from cancellation or curtailment
of any course.
